Thoreau, one of the World Patrol Kids drops a candy wrapper into the street. The wind picks it up and gathers it together with more and more garbage until it has created the Garbage Monster - a horrible beast the size of King Kong. Thoreau wakes to find it is only a dream. But is it? The World Patrol Kids soon become aware of the garbage problem there town is facing and it leads them into a dangerous adventure. Along the way they learn a lot about the importance of recycling and the difficulties of disposing of waste.
